AI start-up Nexoya wins I-COM Data Startup Challenge

I-COM, the Global Forum for Smart Data Marketing, awards the platform provider Nexoya for AI-based optimisation of digital advertising campaigns

Zurich and Berlin, 16 May 2024 – In the fast-paced world of digital marketing, Nexoya offers advertisers a platform that uses AI to optimise marketing budgets and automatically distribute them across multiple channels. The solution provides marketing teams with artificial intelligence as a co-pilot for performance marketing, saving time and increasing the return on advertising spend. I-COM’s Data Startup Challenge showcases the innovators in smart data marketing. Companies today have a great interest and a tremendous need for the latest technologies to stay competitive. The I-COM Data Startup Challenge therefore brings together top startups from around the world that are using AI-driven data processing to generate significant gains for marketers – a crucial factor for success in the modern business world. For Nexoya, the prestigious award means international recognition from leading experts in the field of data marketing science. The attention of top global data science teams, especially from the US and the UK, for the platform developed by Nexoya itself is a great success for the young company. This is the first time that a Swiss start-up has won the I-COM Data Startup Challenge award.

The twelfth I-COM Data Startup Challenge presents the world’s best start-ups in the field of smart data marketing in five categories. On the evening of 15 May 2024, the winner received the award in Malaga: the AI analytics start-up Nexoya, based in Zurich and Berlin. The 26 finalists had previously presented their innovations to an audience of leading marketing science experts at the I-COM Summit Experience conference. I-COM is a global association that helps marketers to holistically transform their business and accelerate their data-driven transformation. Smart data marketing is the art of creatively harnessing the value of data to create competitive advantage in products, customer experience and advertising.

Marco Hochstrasser, co-founder and CEO of Nexoya, says: “This prestigious award is an honour for the entire Nexoya team. The I-COM Award underlines our mission to give advertisers complete transparency across their digital marketing campaign data and to leverage AI for more efficient advertising. We are delighted that by choosing Nexoya as the winner, marketing and data science experts from all over the world recognise and encourage the potential of our solution.”

Opportunities of AI in advertising
The theme of this year’s challenge was “The next generation” and embodied the idea of unlocking the generative AI potential and further exploring the future of data collection, processing and prediction. The rapidly growing areas of marketing analytics in combination with AI and the role of first-party data in increasing effectiveness are currently the most important factors.

Nexoya: AI as a co-pilot in performance marketing
Nexoya was founded in 2018 by Marco Hochstrasser and Manuel Dietrich and quickly developed into a pioneer for data-driven marketing solutions. On the road to success, Nexoya reached the million mark in sales in 2022. For CEO Marco Hochstrasser, supporting his customers’ marketing teams in their day-to-day work is even more important than financial success: “We transform the overwhelming flood of marketing data into automated, actionable strategies that are uniquely tailored to each marketer and therefore highly effective for their work. Winning the I-COM Award reinforces our mission: to help performance marketers harness artificial intelligence as a co-pilot to increase their success.”

One of Nexoya’s most effective features is its weekly automated AI-driven optimisation. Machine learning algorithms continuously analyse campaign data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Rather than just reacting, this proactive approach continuously improves the return on advertising spend and allows budgets to be automatically adjusted across more than 40 channels.

About Nexoya

The start-up Nexoya Ltd., based in Zurich and Berlin, has been implementing automated analyses for the digital marketing of medium-sized and large companies since 2018 – in a user-friendly and data protection-compliant manner. The “nexoya Marketing Analytics” SaaS platform uses machine learning to optimise multi-channel marketing campaigns: For this purpose, the solution aggregates data from multiple channels such as Google Ads, Linkedin, Meta, displays it clearly and monitors the data. Nexoya then optimises the campaign budgets based on the data collected and using artificial intelligence (predictive analytics). The solution relieves marketing teams of routine operational tasks, simplifies automated data-driven decisions and reduces marketing costs by up to 30 per cent. Nexoya only collects non-personalised data that is stored in certified Swiss data centres. Its customers include well-known companies such as Yuh, Generali, Swisscom and Kardex in Switzerland and Magix Software in Germany. www.nexoya.com
